Children’s bedding: Ideas for kids rooms

Let your children decide the theme for their room.  You can prompt your child to decorate his or her own room with your help.  It can be difficult for some kids to decide, so you may have to prompt them with ideas.  If your daughter likes horses and is into fairies, maybe you can get a fairy themed bedspread and sheets set, and offset it with unicorn curtains.  There are so many themes that can turn your children’s room into a safe haven filled with their favorite cartoon characters, their best sports, and the colors and shapes that spark their imagination and make them feel at home.

Colors that go well with most girls are light pastels.   Dark colors often do not have such a good effect little girls’ rooms.  Light oranges, pinks, blues, and purples have a soothing effect on girls.  These colors are also easy to match with supplementary furniture.

Most bright colors will suit boys’ rooms quite nicely.  Browns, beiges, greens, blues, and yellows are all good options.  You might want to try getting one wall painted a different color than the rest.  This is called accenting a wall and helps create contrast.    Children’s bedding curtains should also match with the theme of the room.  For boys, toy story, bob the builder, and super hero bedding works well.
